Alliance Airlines to Start Flying Services to Central Queensland Airports for Virgin Australia Airlines from Next Week!
As mentioned previously on this Blog, Virgin Australia will launch additional flights to Central Queensland airports next week, as part of an accelerated capacity growth plan for major corporate, resources sector and leisure routes throughout Australia.
From Monday 13 February, an additional return service, Monday to Friday, will be introduced bewtween Brisbane and Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast.
From Sunday 19 February, an additional return ATR 72-500 service will also be introduced between Brisbane and Gladstone on Sundays.
From Monday 20 February, an extra return flight, Monday to Friday between Brisbane and Rockhampton.
The new Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast and Rockhampton flights will be operated by Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 aircraft. Eagle-eyed plane spotters report that VH-XWM and VH-XWN have emerged from the paint-shop in an all-white colour scheme - there is still speculation that these two aircraft will be painted into Virgin Australia's livery - I'm sure they will look great!
