More Plane Spotting Photos From Gladstone Airport on Saturday and Sunday

As well as the bigger and more exciting arrivals into Gladstone Airport over the last couple of days, there have also been a couple of interesting light General Aviation aircraft that have also paid a visit.

Firstly, Jamie C sent through a couple of images from Saturday 30 June.  They include Sunshine Coast-based Beech B60 VH-RJU.  This 'Duke' has been flying in and out of Gladstone over recent days.

New Sky Aviation Mooney M20F VH-WBG was photogaphed making a spectacular departure.

Jamie also caught Emerald-based Cessna 150 VH-RZL shortly after take-off from Gladstone Airport.

Meanwhile, for our weekly jaunt to Gladstone Airport on Sunday 1 July, we again caught up with some members of the Gladstone Aero Club, and noted a couple of interesting GA aircraft that are 'resident' at the Airport.

Firstly, local Cessna 172 VH-RLJ was being prepared by the owner (and also a club member) to take to the skies to enjoy the beautiful morning sun.

We also noted Jabiru J-230 19-4385 which was visiting from another airfield. The owner of the Jabiru commented it is powered by a 3.3 litre, horizontally-opposed, 6cyl engine, that allows an average cruise-speed of 117 knots.

We also sighted another couple of locals in the form of Jabiru J-160 19-5099 and Cessna 210 VH-TET, which was undergoing preparations for its next business trip.  VH-TET will shortly take the skies once again as the workhorse for Central Queensland Distributors (LINK) and this time-around it will be visiting locations in Far-North Queensland, the Torres Strait, and West Australia.

We were recently very lucky to be invited on board VH-TET on a trip to Great Keppel Island - you can read this trip report HERE.

As we were leaving, we also noted QantasLink Dash-8-Q300 VH-TQL parked on the lower apron at Gladstone Airport.

Thanks Jamie!
