A Quick Report on a Few Movements at Gladstone Airport Wednesday

A nice morning of plane spotting was had at Gladstone Airport on Wednesday 22 August.  Our morning started with Virgin Australia (Skywest Airlines) ATR 72-500 VH-FVH noted touching down on Runway 28 as DJ1711 from Brisbane.

Shortly after, the first of three QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 aircraft arrived at Gladstone.  VH-QON was first, arriving as QLK2332 from Brisbane.  VH-QOF was noted departing for Brisbane as QLK2301. Lastly, VH-QOH touched down at Gladstone from Brisbane as QLK2336.

Another QantasLink aircraft - Cobham Aviation-operated - Boeing B717-200 VH-NXM rounded out a nice morning - it departed to Brisbane as QLK1707.

Around at the General Aviation (GA) apron at Gladstone Airport Cessna 210 VH-TET - which is workhorse of Central Queensland Distributors - was noted parked after arriving back in Gladstone the previous week after completing a five week mission to Far North Queensland, the Gulf of Carpentaria, Northern Territory, and North-West West Australia.

Also noted was Cessna 414A VH-FKH, which had earlier arrived from Brisbane.  The aircraft is operated by Gateway Aviation, departed to Brisbane later in the afternoon.
