Local plane spotter Tash C was hard at work late last week capturing some fantastic images of the various aircraft that popped into Gladstone Airport during Thursday 30 May, with the highlight no doubt being the visit of Little Aviation Gulfstream G-V-SP (G550) bizjet VH-LAL.
Other visitors included Bundaberg-based CromAir Cessna 414 VH-CBT.
Toowoomba-based Piper PA-31 VH-PJU was photographed by Tash departing to parts unknown.
And ACT-based Cessna 210 VH-BVG.
On the commercial front, on Thursday 30 May, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines ATR 72-500 VH-FVH was photographed departing Gladstone for Brisbane.
QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXN was also captured departing Gladstone for Brisbane.
Meanwhile, QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOU was photographed by Tash as it arrived from Sydney as QLK2120.
Later on Thursday 30 May, Tash captured Virgin ATR 72-500 VH-FVX as it made a spectacular arrival after dark as VOZ1713.
Then after dark, Tash captured some lovely images of QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOK as it prepared for, and then departed to Brisbane as QLK2307.
Tash also captured an interesting after dark visitor to Gladstone Airport on Thursday 30 May in the form of Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation SAAB 340B VH-VEP.
VH-VEP is becoming a regular visitor to the port city on a Thursday - this was three Thursdays in a row - although the after dark visit made for some lovely atmospheric photos!
Sincere thanks to Tash C and Jamie C for sending through their spectacular photos from Gladstone Airport over the last few days - they are truly spectacular images captured by two very accomplished photographers! It's great to be able to share their work with you all!
