QantasLink Dash-8-Q400s VH-QOH and VH-QOA were two of the commercial visitors during the morning. It was interesting to note that VH-QOA is name "Gladstone".
Later on Sunday 23 June, sister-ship VH-QOU was also photographed visiting Gladstone Airport.
Some of the many and varied aircraft that were also spotted by Jamie C and Tash C on Sunday 23 June included the recently delivered and locally-based Gladstone Flying Training and Air Charter (Gladstone Flight Training) Evektor Sportstar 24-4467.
It was joined in the air by Jabiru J-170 24-5229 which is also operated by Gladstone Flying Training.
Archerfield-based Flight One (Services) Piper PA-31-350 VH-JQS arrived into Gladstone from Archerfield on what appears to be a tourist charter. It should be noted that VH-JQS departed Gladstone on Tuesday 25 June for Bloomfield River and later, other ports in North Queensland.
Following a similar path, and also arriving from Archerfield was Piper PA-32RT-300 VH-MHU. It also departed to Townsville and then Bloomfield River, and other ports in North Queensland on Tuesday 25 June.
Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Hawker/Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDI was also spotted visiting Gladstone on Sunday 23 June. It arrived from Rockhampton and later departed to Brisbane as "FlyDoc 467".
Lastly, North Queensland-based Cessna 206 VH-SQX was also photographed as it arrived from parts unknown. VH-SQX departed for Townsville (and then possibly home) on Monday 24 June.
Sincere thanks to both Jamie C and Tash C for their excellent coverage of a fantastic days plane spotting at Gladstone Airport on Sunday 23 June.
