Plane Spotting Action at Gladstone Airport on Tuesday - Alliance F-100 VH-XWM and EMQ Bell 412 VH-ESB and More!!

Making an early morning arrival into Gladstone Airport on Tuesday 3 September on what appeared to be a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter from Brisbane was Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-XWM.

Local plane spotters Jamie C and Tash C were on hand as VH-XWM arrived as UTY660.  They later also captured VH-XWM as it departed back to Brisbane but as UTY661.

Later, Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) (State of Queensland) Bell 412EP VH-ESB popped into Gladstone Airport for fuel while heading North to Townsville from Archerfield.

VH-ESB joined fellow 'rescue' Bell 412 VH-XCY (of Careflight Queensland) on the Gladstone Airport apron, making for a unique photo opportunity.

VH-ESB departed for Mackay and later Townsville, where it was noted departing shortly after to Palm Island.

One commercial highlight on Tuesday 3 September was the visit of QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH which is still painted in its striking Breast Cancer Awareness colours.

On the lighter side, JHA Property Development Group Partenavia P.68B VH-CCR was photographed departing Gladstone for Blackwater.

Mackay-based Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-YDO was spotted visiting the port city on what was believed to be a promotional visit on behalf of locally-based charter flight company Air Charter CQ.

Thanks to Jamie and Tash for sending through their great photos from another great day's spotting at Gladstone!
