Great Overseas and Local Bizjets at Central Queensland Airports Over the Last Week

Some stunning overseas and local bizjets have visited various Central Queensland Airports over the last week or so - here is a run down!

One of the more spectacular arrivals was VistaJet Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express XRS OE-LGX, which was spotted at Barcaldine Aerodrome on Saturday 14 December.  It had arrived from Sydney, and departed a little later for Hamilton Island.  On Sunday 15 December, OE-LGX was photographed at Rockhampton Airport, before it later departed to Perth.

Cessna Aircraft's Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign N680VP arrived into Hamilton Island again from the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 14 December.  It later departed to Sydney and then back to the Sunshine Coast.

Royal Jet (of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates) Boeing B737-7AK(BBJ) bizjet A6-RJX made a surprise arrival into Hamilton Island on Wednesday 18 December, touching down from Canberra.  On Thursday 19 December, it departed Hamo for the Gold Coast.

It was also reported that Canadian-based Dassault Falcon 2000EX C-FVMW also landed at Hamilton Island Airport on Wednesday 18 December from Brisbane.  It is believed to have departed to Perth on Saturday 21 December.

Also at Hamo, Private Dassault Falcon 900EX N82MF was believed to have touched down from the South on Sunday 22 December.

Meanwhile, locally-based bizjets to pop into Hamilton Island over the last week have included Shortstop Jet Charter British Aerospace BAe-125-1000B VH-LMP which visited briefly on Saturday 21 December.

Mackay-based Raytheon 390 Premier 1 N7088S had a busy week departing Mackay on Saturday 14 December for Brisbane, and then being noted back at Brisbane, along with Rockhampton at various times during the week, culminating with N7088S flying from Rocky to Mackay on Thursday 19 December.  Interestingly, sister-bizjet - Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 VH-ZGP - departed Mackay for Bankstown the previous week on Wednesday 11 December.

Also at Rockhampton Airport this week was Toowoomba-based Light Jets Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 VH-TFW which arrived from Archerfield on Tuesday 17 December.  It departed back to there on Wednesday 18 December.

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra VH-PSU popped into Mackay and Rockhampton on Wednesday 18 December.

Mackellar Mining Equipment / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra VH-MMC again called into Emerald Airport, arriving from the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday 17 December and departing back to there on Wednesday 18 December.

Finally, at Gladstone Airport, Wanless Environmental Services Eclipse EA500 bizjet N580WC was photographed visiting from Archerfield on Thursday 19 December.

And as mentioned below, privately owned Dassault Falcon 900EX bizjet N47EG arrived into Gladstone Airport from Brisbane and Nadi on Saturday 21 December.  On Sunday 22 December, it departed to Sydney, but later returned and was parked on the lower parking apron at Gladstone Airport.
