Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-500 VH-FVM Having Maintenance Issues This Week

Over the last couple of days, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-500 VH-FVM has experienced some maintenance issues that have affected Rockhampton passengers.

On Sunday 15 December, VH-FVM operated the scheduled VOZ1900 flight from Townsville to Brisbane, and shortly after, departed Rockhampton for Brisbane as VOZ1242.  However, as shown below, the flight returned to Rockhampton soon after departure.

VH-FVM was then noted re-positioning back to Brisbane from Rockhampton early on Monday 16 December as VOZ9500, and it subsequently operated scheduled Virgin services to Moranbah and Gladstone and back out of Brisbane.  Then late on Monday 16 December VH-FVM was noted departing Brisbane for Rockhampton as VOZ1247, however it again turned around shortly after departure and returned to Brisbane - as shown below.

Now on Tuesday 17 December, VH-FVM appears to be flying normal Virgin services again, with it completing a flight to Emerald and back, and it now on the way to Rockhampton!
