A couple of nice and unique visitors to call into Rockhampton Airport on Monday 3 February were a pair of Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopters.
They were noted to arrive from the South - presumably Oakey - and later depart North to Townsville.
Local plane spotters Trevor H and 'IAD' were on hand to capture some of the action as MRH-90 A40-006 arrived first as "Saxon 31". 'IAD' was then able to capture some great photos as A40-005 also arrived into Rocky, but as "Templar 93".
When the MRH-90 helicopters departed, A40-005 was heard to be using the callsign "Saxon 32", while A40-006 had changed to "Saxon 33".
Meanwhile, as the photos above show, Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Cobham Aviation) Dash-8-202 VH-ZZB was also visiting Rockhampton Airport on Monday 3 February.
It had arrived earlier in the day as "Customs 22". Of note too is that VH-ZZB has been 're-branded' and now wears the "Australian Customs and Border Protection" titles.
