A real delight for local plane spotters Kayanne H and 'IAD' late on Thursday 18 September as a pair of Singapore Airlines Boeing B777-200 aircraft touched down at Rockhampton Airport. Both aircraft brought passengers to Rockhampton in support of the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2014.

Initially, 9V-SRJ touched down at Rockhampton Airport as SIA8931 direct from Singapore (Changi) Airport.
It departed after a couple of hours on the ground, just prior to fellow Singapore Airlines B777-200 9V-SRH which also touched down from Changi but as SIA8933.
It also departed back to Singapore but as SIA8934.
The next arrival of a Singapore Airlines aircraft is expected on Saturday 20 September.
