As predicted, Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 VH-ZPN called into Gladstone Airport on Saturday 10 January.
The 'jungle jet' was noted operating the VOZ1709/1712 scheduled service from and back to Brisbane.
Its visit caps off a great week or so of jet action where Gladstone plane spotters have seen eight of the larger Boeing B737s, including five Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights to the industrial city that were operated by Qantas. There have also been many extra visits by QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200s on FIFO charters.
It would now appear that 'normal' commercial traffic and operations are returning to Gladstone!
