The 2015 ANZAC troop train re-enactment has this week seen a steam train with nine authentic refurbished carriages depart Winton on Monday 20 April, with overnight stops at Longreach, Emerald, Rockhampton and Maryborough before arriving at Central Station in Brisbane on the afternoon of Friday 24 April.

Over the course of Sunday 19 April and Monday 20 April, several interesting light and larger aircraft and helicopters were seen at both Winton and Longreach Airports including Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FWH which was noted at both Airports during a day of travelling that started and finished at Brisbane.

Of interest, as the photo shows, VH-FWH has recently been re-painted all white.

Also on Sunday 19 April, Air Central West Beech 58 Baron VH-TNR and Mareeba-based Cirrus SR22 VH-WJB both arrived into Winton.

Meanwhile, on Monday 20 April, Hinterland Aviation Cessna 404 VH-TFO flew from Cairns to Longreach and onto Windorah and back as "HND467".  Also calling into Longreach from Cairns on Monday was Hopair Cessna 337E Skymaster VH-OIQ.  It continued to Birdsville.

Later on Monday, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU touched down from Cairns and stayed overnight.  It departed to Cloncurry early on Tuesday 21 April.

Finally on Tuesday 21 April, Sunshine Coast-based Cirrus SR22 VH-MCX departed Longreach for the Sunshine Coast.
