Local plane spotters Jamie and Tash were treated to a nice 'show' in the skies over Gladstone Airport on Thursday 2 July as a single Australian Army Eurocopter Tiger (ARH) Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter A38-017 flew several approaches and completed general airwork in the circuit area.
The Tiger was believed to have flown South from the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA), and at the completion of the airwork, departed back towards the North.
While the callsign of this Tiger is not known, several other Tigers have been seen and heard flying around Rockhampton Airport as well over the last couple of nights with "Blade 41", "Blade 61" and "Nightmare 81" all heard over the last couple of nights.
Thanks to Jamie and Tash for capturing and sending through these great photos of a great visitor to Gladstone!
