As mentioned below, local plane spotters Kayanne H and Trevor H visited the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) 'Family Fun Open Day' at Rockhampton Airport on Saturday 24 October and were on hand to capture some awesome photos as a pair of Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma helicopters took to the air.
The two helicopters - serials '293' and '272' - using the radio callsign "Diamond" - initially positioned from Rockhampton Airport across to 'Warriors Camp' - the RSAF's landing ground inside the Australian Army Defence Support Group (DSG) 'Camp Rocky' they are utilising during Exercise Wallaby 2015. Both Super Pumas then departed to Shoalwater Bay.
Later on Saturday 24 October, Kayanne again captured '272' and '293' as they returned to Rockhampton Airport. It was interesting to note that the passengers who disembarked the chopper had 'civilian' clothes on - perhaps VIPs?
Both Super Pumas returned to their parking positions alongside Rocky's cross Runway 04/22.
Sincere thanks again to Kayanne and Trevor for capturing and sending through these great photos!
