I wasn't the only person surprised to see the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK still parked at Rockhampton Airport on Thursday 3 December!
It was spotted early on Thursday parked 'nose-in' into the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) hangar at Rockhampton Airport after it had actually arrived from Townsville the previous day on Wednesday 2 December presumably operating its usual three-times-a-week prisoner transfer flights up and down the Queensland coast.
Rockhampton Aero Club member Paul T captured a photo of VH-PSK at Rockhampton Airport as it departed and then later returned on what looked to be local test flight.
VH-PSK later departed to Cairns.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday 2 December, and with VH-PSK broken down at Rockhampton Airport, fellow Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU and also Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ were summoned to complete the days flights.
VH-SGQ flew into Rockhampton from Brisbane before departing to Bundaberg and then Brisbane. VH-PSU flew into Rockhampton from Cairns and was later noted visiting Brisbane, Bundaberg, Rockhampton (again) and Townsville, before returning to Cairns.
