On Friday 15 April, Dick Lang's Dessert-Air Safaris' Beech B200 VH-ODI made yet another visit to Longreach Airport while presumably on another one of its air safari trips. On this occasion, VH-ODI arrived from Birdsville and ended up departing to Innamincka on Saturday 16 April.

An interesting arrival on Sunday 17 April into Blackall Airport from Canberra was Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEH.

VH-VEH then departed to Barcaldine and Longreach Airports. It was noted using the flight number and callsign of either "NavCheck1" or "NavCheck2" suggesting that like in previous times, VH-VEH seemed to be operating flight safety check sorties. On Monday 18 April, VH-VEH departed Longreach for Hughenden.
Meanwhile, other lighties noted visiting Barcaldine and Longreach Airports on Sunday 17 April included Burketown-based Piper PA-31-350 VH-MDM which called into Barcaldine from Mount Isa. I have also that VH-MDM has visited Barcaldine Airport at other times of the last few weeks. Visiting Longreach Airport was Sunshine Coast-based Cirrus SR22 VH-MCX, along with Sunshine Coast-based Cessna 172 VH-HAX which arrived from Julia Creek. Finally, New South Wales-based Beech V35A Bonanza VH-FWY was noted departing Longreach Airport for Boulia.
It's also worthwhile noting that as this post is written late on Tuesday 19 April, Austrek Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-WXO is winging its way to Longreach Airport from Brisbane.
Finally, back on the previous weekend, Air Link (Dubbo) Cessna 310R VH-HSL called into Longreach Airport twice on Saturday 10 April while flying from Dubbo to Normanton and back to Dubbo. While on Friday 9 April, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU called into Longreach Airport from Brisbane before it later departed to Winton.
