Exercise Wallaby 2017 - Second Wave of Heavy Jet Charters into Rockhampton Airport Commence - Royal Brunei Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLC Calls In

Late on Friday 22 September, the second 'wave' of heavy jet charter flights in support of the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2017 kicked off with Royal Brunei Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLC touching down direct from Singapore's Changi Airport as RBA4271.

I was alongside local plane spotter Daniel B to capture some nice photos as the Dreamliner touched down in the beef capital and parked on Gate 6 on the southern end of the parking apron.

After unloading and re-loading full flights of passengers and their bags, V8-DLC departed back to Singapore in the very early hours of Saturday 23 September as RBA4272.  It is then expected to turn around and head back to Rockhampton Airport again as RBA4271 where it will touch down in the evening on Saturday 23 September.

Also touching down at Rockhampton Airport late on Saturday 23 September will be a Singapore Airlines Boeing B777-200 (currently showing on flight tracking websites as 9V-SRQ).  It will also be flying into Rocky direct from Changi.
