QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH Spotted in New Colours Visiting Mackay Airport - But No Longer Pink!

Early on Thursday 11 October, and only a couple of days after it emerged from the paint-shop, QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOH was photographed resting quietly on the Mackay Airport apron after it had arrived from Cairns and Townsville as QLK2301.  It looked resplendent after being re-painted into the new Qantas 'Silver-Roo' colour scheme - but sadly having lost its distinctive pink 'Breast Cancer Awareness' colours.

VH-QOH emerged from the Flying Colours paint-shop in Townsville at the start of the week and after operating West to Mount Isa and Cloncurry, made its first visits to CQ on Thursday 11 October.  After visiting Mackay Airport, VH-QOH continued to Rockhampton Airport before completing a return flight from Brisbane to Gladstone Airport and back as the sun went down.

As shown, VH-QOH has now been named 'Forster' after previously being unnamed since its delivery to Australia in 2006.

It also appears that despite losing the distinctive pink livery, VH-QOH has had decals applied promoting the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and the 'Movember' Foundation which looks after men's health.

VH-QOH joins several other Dash-8-Q400s in the new and updated Qantas livery and kangaroo logo, which was introduced to coincide with the introduction the Boeing B787 Dreamliner into service with the airline late last year.  They are becoming quite a common sight at most Central Queensland Airports.

Of interest, fellow Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOP is now in the paint-shop at Townsville and is expected to emerge in around a fortnight in the new Qantas/QantasLink livery.
