Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-213 Missed Approach at Longreach Airport

There was a surprise for Longreach residents on Tuesday 19 March with Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-213 reportedly completing a missed approach at Longreach Airport.

The Globemaster - flying as "Stallion 60" - appeared to fly up from the South - possibly RAAF Base Amberley - and was later heard completing airwork at Townsville before returned to Amberley.

Of interest, also on Tuesday 19 March, another RAAF C-17 A41-212 as "Stallion 66" also overflew Central Queensland while flying between Amberley and Townsville.
