Former MAC Rescue (South Australia) / Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia Agusta (Bell) AB412 Helicopter VH-LSA Starts Operating for Locally-based Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) at Rockhampton Airport

Over the weekend, on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September, Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia Agusta (Bell) AB412 Helicopter VH-LSA was noted operating out of Rockhampton Airport for the locally-based Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS).

It looked to complete medical evacuation flights to Gladstone (on Saturday) and the South-West - possibly Moura - (on Sunday).  On both occasions it returned to Rocky and landed at Rockhampton Base Hospital.  Of interest, this made it the 15th rescue helicopter to land at the new Rockhampton Base Hospital heli-pad.

VH-LSA then returned to the CHRS base at Rockhampton Airport.  It was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Rescue 300".

UPDATE!  VH-LSA was spotted (above) on Wednesday 4 September now wearing small CHRS titles.

As posted below, VH-LSA arrived into Rockhampton Airport back on Sunday 18 August after it completed a ferry flight in from Adelaide in South Australia. 

As mentioned, the distinctive bright red-and-white rescue chopper has until recently been operating for the South Australia-based MAC (Motor Accident Commission) Rescue service.  It looked to complete possibly its final flight in late July as "Rescue 55".
