The KC-30A looked to fly up from and then later return to its RAAF Base Amberley home.
A39-004 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Dragon 25".
Meanwhile, on Tuesday 3 September, fellow RAAF KC-30A MRTT A39-005 - also flying as "Dragon 25" - was noted in company with RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft A41-210 "Stallion 33" on a flight up the Queensland coast from RAAF Base Amberley. They both later returned South and were believe to have returned to Amberley.
While also on Tuesday 3 September, a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft were both noted completing airwork at CQ Airports. Wedgetail A30-003 as "Wedgetail 06" looked to fly up from RAAF Base Williamtown towards Mackay and the Whitsundays via airwork at the Sunshine Coast. While A30-002 as "Wedgetail 04" was heard to complete airwork around Longreach Airport before flying up to Townsville.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that last Monday 26 August and Tuesday 27 August, an unidentified Australian Army Boeing CH-47F 'Foxtrot' Chinook helicopter was noted completing airwork at Mackay Airport.
