On Wednesday 24 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-210 "Stallion 70" completed airwork at three Central Queensland Airports and was spotted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.
The C-17 looked to depart RAAF Base Amberley and fly North-West to complete a missed approach at Emerald Airport. It then flew up to Mackay Airport where it completed another missed approach. From there, it flew a coastal route at low level before completing another missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.
A41-210 then returned to Ambereley.
Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 24 June, it appears that RAAF Alenia C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifter A34-002 "Wallaby 76" may have completed airwork at Fraser Island while on a flight out of and back to Amberley.
Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
