Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FGB Passes Through Mackay Airport on Closed Charter Flight to the Red Centre! - UPDATED!

Another publicised closed tourist charter flight was noted passing through Mackay Airport on Friday 5 November with Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 jet VH-FGB arriving from Townsville before then departing direct to Ayres Rock (Yulara) as UTY571.

The closed charter flights and tours were organised by a local tourist company and includes two nights in the red centre of Australia. It is expected that VH-FGB will return to Mackay Airport on Sunday 7 November.

UPDATE!   Sadly, it seems that VH-FGB must've encountered a technical problem and ended up departing Ayres Rock Airport for Brisbane as UTY9810 on Sunday 7 November.  Fellow Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-XWM looked to complete the 'rescue' mission on Sunday 7 November, flying into Ayres Rocky from Brisbane as UTY9823 before then flying to Mackay and Townsville Airports as UTY572, finishing the journey in the very early hours on Monday 8 November.
