A Pair of RAAF Alenia C-27J Spartan Transport Aircraft Complete Airwork at CQ Airports - A34-004 "Kaos 31" & A34-009 "Kaos 32"

On Thursday 10 April, a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Alenia C-27J Spartan transport aircraft were noted and spotted completing airwork at a couple of Central Queensland Airports.

Spartans A34-004 as "Kaos 31" and A34-009 as "Kaos 32" both flew up from RAAF Base Amberley to complete several circuits at Bundaberg Airport before flying up to Rockhampton Airport where each did several touch-and-go approaches before landing for some time.

A bit later they took off and completed yet more circuits art Rockhampton Airport before both then completed further airwork at Mackay Airport before then landing at Townsville for the night.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 13 April, both Spartans flew back South from Townsville to RAAF Base Amberley via airwork in parts of CQ - A34-004 now as "ASY 522" looked to complete airwork at Bundaberg Airport, while A34-009 now as "ASY 523" seemingly flew directly back to Amberley.

Finally, of interest, on Wednesday 9 April, RAAF C-27J Spartan A34-001 as "Wallaby 30" flew up from Amberley to complete a missed approach at Gladstone Airport and then Bundaberg Airport before then returning to Amberley.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for allowing us to share these great photos!
