Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A A41-209 Returns to Rockhampton Airport Thursday

As foreshadowed in the Blog below, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A A41-209, was noted departing Rockhampton Airport early on Thursday 24 May.  However, it returned later in the day - again as "Stallion 59" - this time from Darwin.

Local spotters got some great photos in the cloudy conditions in the late afternoon as the C-17 landed on Runway 15 and taxied up Taxiway Juliette, and then back onto the Runway, before finally parking on the Military Hardstand at the Northern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron.

Again, A41-209 is expected to stay overnight at Rockhampton Airport, and depart on Friday.
