It arrived from Brisbane around mid-morning and departed back there during the early part of the afternoon.
It is believed that Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk came to Mackay to visit the local Council and also announce a planned concert by multiple Grammy-winning legend and flamboyant superstar, Elton John.
