Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) B737 / E-7A Wedgetail A30-004 Missed Approach at Emerald Airport

On Thursday 21 November, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-004 was noted completing a missed approach at Emerald Airport.

It appears that the Wedgetail flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown and after completing the airwork, continued up to Townsville.  A30-004 was heard using the radio callsign of "Wedgetail 17".

UPDATE!  On Friday 22 November, A30-004 "Wedgetail 17" was noted returning South to Williamtown via a missed approach out at Mount Isa.
