After a few hours on the ground, VH-WIO later departed Hamo and returned to Bankstown.

During the current down-turn in tourism due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Hamilton Island Hotels and Resorts have been shut down with a re-opening not expected until August.

Meanwhile, after much of last week in New South Wales, the often visiting American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK was noted arriving into the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour also on Monday 13 July.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 16 July, N257AK flew from the Whitsunday Airport back to Archerfield.

A couple of smaller light General Aviation (GA) aircraft also noted around the region, also on Monday 13 July, included the seemingly weekly visit into Rockhampton Airport by Austrek Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-WXO which again arrived from Toowoomba and Archerfield and departed back directly to Toowoomba.

UPDATE!  VH-WXO returned to Rockhampton Airport on Friday 17 July but flew the opposite route - arriving from Toowoomba and departed to Archerfield and then Toowoomba.

While Vanderfield Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH was noted arriving into Emerald Airport from Toowoomba before it later departed to Pinnarendi.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 14 July, VH-WPH returned to Emerald Airport from Pinnarendi and later departed home to Toowoomba.

And at Mackay Airport, also on Monday 13 July, smart little New South Wales-based Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage VH-KNV arrived from Cessnock.  And Landair Surveys' Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-XGL arrived from Walgett.

UPDATE!  VH-KNV returned to Cessnock on Friday 17 July.

UPDATE!  VH-XGL completed local survey flights on Tuesday 14 July before departing to the Sunshine Coast.
