A Couple of Hinterland Aviation Cessnas Pop into CQ Airports – Plus More!

It was interesting to note that on Monday 17 August, Hinterland Aviation Cessna 402C VH-TFK visited Rockhampton Airport.  It was flying as "Hinterland 420" and arrived from Townsville and later departed to Cairns.

Also on Monday 17 August, Hinterland Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-HLJ was also noted visiting Rockhampton Airport.  It was flying as "Hinterland 728" and arrived from Townsville then departed to Brisbane.  VH-HLJ later returned from the capital to Townsville and Cairns.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 17 August, several Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) / Qantas Group Pilot Academy Diamond DA-40 Star training aircraft were noted visiting some Central Queensland Airports, all flying out of their Toowoomba-Wellcamp Airport base.  DA-40 Stars VH-YTZ and VH-YTE flew up from Wellcamp to Gladstone Airport before returning via Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.  While VH-YTI, VH-YTU, VH-YTK,VH-YTL and VH-YTJ all flew to Hervey Bay and Bundaberg Airports on a flight from and back to Wellcamp.

Finally, also on Monday 17 August, Pekal Aviation of Boggabilla (NSW) Piper PA-31-325 VH-TRA was noted landing at Clermont Aerodrome from Goondiwindi.  It returned there in the afternoon.

While Vanderfield Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH was noted visiting Emerald and Mackay Airports while on a busy day of flying out of and back to its Toowoomba base up as far as Townsville.
