Both RAAF Search and Rescue Helicopters - Bell 412EP VH-EPH & Agusta AW139 VH-RQY - Depart Rockhampton Airport

Over the weekend, both Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopters that had been based at Rockhampton Airport departed back to RAAF Base Amberley, seemingly at the end of their deployment to the area (possibly) in support of the Australian Army's Exercise Diamond Walk which has been conducted at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

On Saturday 5 June, Bell 412EP helicopter VH-EPH departed Rockhampton Airport for Bundaberg Airport and then Amberley as "Choppa 66".

While on Sunday 6 June, Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-RQY departed Rockhampton Airport for Amberley as "Rescue 42".

Of interest, both helicopters operate for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in a Search and Rescue (SAR) role by CHC Helicopters / Lloyd Helicopters.
