Alaska-Based ElaineBrown LLC Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP (G550) Bizjet N126EB Calls into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 3 February, sleek ElaineBrown LLC (of Anchorage, Alaska) Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP (G550) bizjet N126EB was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport.  It flew down from Cairns after earlier being photographed arriving there from Papeete, Tahiti. 

At the time of writing, N126EB remains parked at Hamo.

UPDATE!  On Monday 6 February, N126EB departed Hamilton Island Airport for Darwin and Singapore (Seletar).

Meanwhile, also on Friday 3 February, Execujet Australia Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-VSZ was spotted parked at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport.  It looked to touch down from Sydney and Brisbane.

At the time of writing, it appears that VH-VSZ is staying at Prosie for at least the night.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 5 February, VH-VSZ departed Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport for Brisbane.  It is due to continue to Sydney on Monday 6 February.

And Jetstream Aviation (Emprja P/L) Cessna 550 Citation II VH-VDF was photographed before flying down from Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport to the Sunshine Coast.  It flew up from there on Sunday 29 January.

Finally, also on Friday 3 February, The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK visited Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville.

While the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ visited Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane.

And the ever-busy Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Reims F406 VH-EYQ departed Moranbah Airport for Mackay Airport before flying down to Gladstone Airport via aerial survey work on the way.  

It then flew out to Emerald Airport where it was photographed above earlier in the week.

Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 VH-HQK "Navair 141" Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Tuesday 3 January, Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 VH-HQK as "Navair 141" was noted visiting Rockhampton Airport from Dubbo.

While Jampair P/L (Navair Flight Operations) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-NSQ as "Navair 199" visited Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Bankstown.

McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-SUY looked to visit Hamilton Island Airport again from its Sunshine Coast base.

And before dawn, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFA "Ambulance 614" was noted visiting Longreach Airport from Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 3 January, Southern Air Beech 1900 VH-VSO visited Moranbah Airport once again.  It arrived from Melbourne (Moorabbin), Latrobe Valley and Bourke and then returned direct to Latrobe Valley and then to Moorabbin.

While Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TFQ as "Hinterland 480" departed Rockhampton Airport on a training flight to Gladstone Airport then back.  

Fellow Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-ETF as "Hinterland 470" departed Rockhampton Airport for North Curtis Island and a bit later returned to Rockhampton Airport before then operating a return FIFO flight to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.

Plus fellow Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-LZK flew as looked to arrive into Mackay Airport from Townsville before then flying out to Labona and back to Mackay Airport.  It then returned to Townsville. 

UPDATE!  VH-LZK did more runs between Mackay Airport and Labona on Wednesday 4 January.

Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-XDW visited the Labona Station Airstrip from Toowoomba-Wellcamp.

Victoria based Cessna 310I VH-UPZ landed at Emerald Airport from Leongatha, Elmore and Griffith. 

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 4 January, VH-UPZ departed Emerald Airport for Townsville.

And Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Reims F406 VH-EYQ departed Emerald Airport for aerial survey work over Dysart and then the Abbot Point Coal Terminal near Bowen before then flying down to Mackay Airport.

A Couple of Beaut Gulfstream Bizjets Call into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport - G-VI N988NC & G-V N881HS Back Again - Plus More!

On Saturday 9 July, several nice Australian-based, as well as American-registered, bizjets were noted and spotted calling into the Whitsundays.

Perhaps the nicest was private American-registered Gulfstream Aerospace G650ER (G-VI) bizjet N988NC which arrived into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Hamilton Island Airport.  It earlier flew down to Hamo from Cairns where it looked to clear Australian Border Force requirements after arriving into Australia from overseas.

It is assumed that N988NC is parked at Prosie for a period of time and indeed, at the time of writing, the attractive Gulfstream was closed up for the at least the night.

UPDATE!  It appears that early on Sunday 10 July, N988NC departed Proserpine Airport and jumped back across to Hamilton Island Airport where it is seems to be staying.

Also spotted paying Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport a visit once again was Singapore-based American-registered Gulfstream Aerospace G-V bizjet N881HS.  It looked to fly down from and then back to Cairns after only flying up there from Sydney via Prosie the previous day.

At the time of writing, N881HS has departed Cairns for Denpasar (Bali).

Also spotted visiting Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport was McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525C CitationJet CJ4 bizjet VH-PIY.  It arrived from the Sunshine Coast and later departed to the Gold Coast.  Of interest, it had earlier flown across from Perth (West Australia) to Sydney and then the Sunny Coast before heading to Prosie.

At the time of writing, VH-PIY was returning to the Sunshine Coast.

And  Moorabbin Aviation Services (Victoria) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-VTQ finally departed Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport for Melbourne (Moorabbin) via Bourke and Melbourne (Essendon).

VH-VTQ had arrived into Prosie from Essendon on the last day of June.

While over at Hamilton Island Airport, aside from the quick visit by the G-VI N988NC, fellow Gulfstream G-VI (G650ER) VH-LAL of Little Aviation (Victoria) finally departed for its Melbourne (Tullamarine) base.  It had arrived into Hamo from there on Monday 4 July.

As predicted below, Divair (Air Link) Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3 bizjet VH-NNE returned to Hamilton Island Airport from Sydney.

While Sydney-based JJ Air Textron (Cessna) 208 Amphibious Caravan VH-JLK looked to arrive into Hamilton Island Airport from Bankstown via the Sunshine Coast and Gladstone Airports.

UPDATE!  VH-JLK looked to return South to Bankstown on Thursday 14 July.

And West Wing Aviation / Helicopters Townsville Beech 58 Baron VH-ABP visited Hamo from its Townsville base.  As did ZephAir Australia - Aircraft Charters Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-AYT which also visited Hamilton Island Airport from its Townsville base.

Finally, also around the region, also on Saturday 9 July, Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-OLJ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 10 July, VH-OLJ departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Brisbane.

Townsville-based Forster Helicopters Bell Helicopter Textron 407 helicopter VH-DKU  looked to fly down from Mackay Airport to Hedlow Airfield and then Rockhampton and Gladstone Airports.  VH-DKU was noted at the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour on Friday 8 July.

And some aerial survey aircraft seen on radar operating in the region included Aerometrex Vulcanair (Partenavia) P.68C VH-CFE which completed aerial survey work before it later landed at Emerald and then Mackay Airports.  Fellow Aerometrex Cessna 404 Titan VH-TRC departed Mackay Airport to complete aerial survey work over Rockhampton before then landing at Gladstone Airport.

VH-TRC had arrived into Mackay Airport on Thursday 7 July - as posted above.

Handel Aviation Cessna 310R VH-NXS departed Cairns to land at Mackay Airport before then departing and completing aerial survey work over Mackay.  It then flew down at landed at Gladstone Airport as well.  Of interest, it looks like VH-NXS flew North via Mackay Airport on Thursday 7 July.

Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Reims F406 VH-EYQ and Aero Logistics Cessna 404 VH-AZU were noted again completing an aerial survey flights out of Emerald Airport.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ Pops into Mackay & Rockhampton Airports - Plus More!

On Friday 26 March, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ was noted arriving into Mackay Airport from Cairns.  It then flew down to Rockhampton Airport before continuing to Brisbane.

During the afternoon, VH-SGQ then returned to Cairns via Townsville.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 26 March, Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) survey aircraft - Reims Aviation F406 VH-LAA was noted popping into my local Clermont Aerodrome from Emerald Airport.  It then departed to complete survey work before returning to Emerald Airport.

Finally, also on Friday 26 March, New South Wales-based Cessna LC41-550FG VH-CSV arrived into Longreach Airport from Hay in New South Wales.

UPDATE!  On Monday 29 March, VH-CSV popped back into Longreach Airport, arriving from Karumba and later departing to Bourke in New South Wales.

Quite a Few other Light General Aviation (GA) Aircraft Spotted and Noted Around CQ Airports Again This Week

Over the last couple of days, there has been yet more light General Aviation (GA) and general charter aircraft spotted and noted visiting various Central Queensland Airports.

On Wednesday 3 June, Seair Pacific / Istlecote DHC-6-100 Twin Otter VH-ZKF completed its weekly run from the Gold Coast and Brisbane to Rockhampton Airport before flying up to Collinsville Airport and then Townsville.  It then returned South over the same route.  While, as shown below, fellow Seair Cessna 208 Caravan VH-KNQ was spotted at Rockhampton Airport also on Wednesday 3 June after earlier arriving from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

At the time of writing, VH-KNQ is due to make an early morning departure from Rocky on a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) flight into Wanella Station (near Coppabella) before flying to Maryborough Airport.  Another Seair Cessna 208 Carvan VH-TQW is also due to call into Wanella, also on Thursday 4 June however it is due to arrive from Hervey Bay Airport and depart back there via Maryborough Airport.

Meanwhile, also noted calling into Collinsville Airport, also on Wednesday 3 June, was Beech 95-B55 VH-MYM which touched down from its Gayndah base.

UPDATE!  VH-MYM returned to Gayndah via Mackay Airport on Friday 5 June.

Another couple of lighties also spotted at Rockhampton Airport, also on Wednesday 3 June were the weekly visitor in the form of Air Gold Coast Beech 58 Baron VH-YDC.  As usual, it looked to arrive into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville before later departing to Archerfield and then the Gold Coast.  It flew North the previous day.

And Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-PID which arrived into Rockhampton Airport from its Toowoomba base on Tuesday 2 June.  It departed back there later on Wednesday 3 June.

Out at my local Clermont Aerodrome, also on Wednesday 3 June, Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-WXB arrived from Toowoomba-Wellcamp and Murwillumbah Automotive Group (New South Wales) Cessna 182 VH-YDW arrived from the Sunshine Coast.  Both were due to depart on Thursday 4 June.

Up at Mackay Airport, also on Wednesday 3 June, BPW Aviation / Airspeed Aviation of Scone, New South Wales, Cessna 404 Titan VH-SKV visited from Brisbane.  And Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Cessna 404 Titan VH-LAD was also noted visiting.

While a pair of Cirrus SR22s VH-PAS and VH-VCD were also noted passing through Mackay Airport - VH-PAS arriving from Townsville and departing to Southport (a return flight from the previous day) - VH-VCD arriving from Innisfail and departing to Emerald Airport and Toowoomba (also a return flight from the previous day).

Another couple of Cirrus SR22s were also noted passing through CQ Airports but on Tuesday 2 June with VH-ULN arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba and later departing to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.  While VH-YDA also visited Rockhampton Airport but from Boonah.

And further up at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport, on Tuesday 2 June, Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM looked to arrive from Archerfield.

UPDATE!  It appeared that VH-BSM remained parked until Friday 5 June when it departed Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport and returned to Archerfield.

Finally, some small Cessnas noted passing through CQ Airports also on Tuesday 2 June with Paraway Pastoral Company (Orange, New South Wales) Cessna 182 VH-KDU departing Rockhampton Airport for Gladstone, Longreach and Rocklands Airports.  It had arrived from Rocklands Airport last week.

While AAA Aircraft / Flight Options Flight Academy Cessna 172s VH-ZOB and VH-AQR both visited Rockhampton Airport from their Sunshine Coast base.

Many Photos as Brisbane-based Pesca Aviation AeroCommander 690-A Turbo Commander VH-ATF Calls into Mackay and Rockhampton Airports

On Thursday 15 February, Brisbane-based Pesca Aviation AeroCommander 690-A Turbo Commander VH-ATF was spotted resting on the Western General Aviation (GA) Apron (WGA) at Mackay Airport.  It had earlier arrived from Archerfield.

VH-ATF which is flown by Steve Baxter, the investor and entrepreneur from Brisbane who is one of the 'sharks' on the Australian television series 'Shark Tank'.

Later in the day, VH-ATF ventured South to Rockhampton Airport.

UPDATE!  During the afternoon on Friday 16 February, VH-ATF departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Archerfield.

Also popping into Rockhampton Airport also on Thursday 15 February was Jedda Lin (Sydney) Hawker Beechcraft G36 Bonanza VH-JKL which arrived from Bankstown and departed to Hamilton Island Airport. 

And popping into Mackay Airport late on Thursday 15 February was Austrek Aviation Beech B200 Super King Air VH-ZGD.  It arrived from Melbourne (Essendon) and departed to Toowoomba.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday 14 February, a pair of Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) survey aircraft - Reims Aviation F406 VH-LAA and Cessna 404 VH-LAV were both noted calling into Rockhampton Airport.

VH-LAA looked to arrive from Gladstone before staying for the night and departing to the Gold Coast early on Thursday 15 February, while VH-LAV arrived from Emerald Airport - where it has been based for some time - before completing an aerial survey flight which concluded back at Rockhampton Airport.

Also completing an aerial survey flight out of Rockhampton Airport, also on Wednesday 14 February, was Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Cessna 208 Caravan VH-PSQ.  It looked to arrive from Mackay Airport before departing and (reportedly) assisting in the search for a distress beacon.  VH-PSQ then returned to Rocky where it stayed for the night.  VH-PSQ departed to Brisbane early on Thursday 15 February.

Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM - Plus Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) GAF N-22C Nomad VH-ATO - Spotted at Mackay Airport

On Thursday 16 November, Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM was spotted visiting Mackay Airport.  It arrived from Brisbane.

After a little while on the ground, VH-BSM ventured South and landed at Rockhampton Airport.  It later returned to Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also at Mackay Airport on Thursday 16 November, locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ returned from Brisbane.  It had ventured South on Friday 10 November.

While also at Rockhampton Airport, Brisbane-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-AAD popped in from Archerfield.  It later departed to Dalby before returning to Archerfield.

Finally, back at Mackay Airport but on Wednesday 15 November, Bayswater Road Aerial Surveys / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Government Aircraft Factories (GAF) N-22C Nomad VH-ATO was spotted being refuelled just before it departed for Cairns.

The only airworthy Nomad left flying in Australia is reportedly on its way to Papua New Guinea (PNG) and is always a welcome visitor especially to CQ Airports!

A Few Lighties at Fraser Coast Airports incl Partenavia P.68B VH-PNU Diverting to Maryborough Airport with Engine Troubles

Over the last couple of days, there has been an interesting variety of light General Aviation (GA) aircraft noted calling into Fraser Coast Airports, in particular, Bundaberg Airport.

On Monday 28 August, Brisbane-registered Partenavia P.68B VH-PNU arrived into Bundaberg Airport from Archerfield - where it seems to be presently based.

On departure from Bundy on its return to Archerfield however, the aircraft suffered an engine failure and turned back and landed at Maryborough Airport.  It was only on the ground for a short time and problem was quickly rectified with VH-PNU noted a short time later back in the air and heading once again 'home' to Archerfield.

On Sunday 27 August, Privately owned Cirrus Design Corp SR22 G6 Australis Premium N436RP - which is currently being operated by Cirrus Aircraft Australia & New Zealand on various demonstration events around Australia - called into Bundaberg Airport from Townsville on the latest destination on the tour.  It has also recently called into Rockhampton and Mackay Airports.

After several hours on the ground, N436RP departed to Caloundra and the Ballina/Byron Gateway Airport in northern New South Wales.

Finally, on Saturday 26 August, an interesting quartet of lighties were noted passing through Bundaberg Airport including General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) AeroCommander 681 VH-NBT, Airlines of Tasmania Cessna 404 VH-WZM, Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Cessna 404 VH-LAV and Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TQW which was noted completing a return flight to the nearby Lady Elliott Island.

Some GA Movements Also at Rockhampton Airport over this week

There's been a few interesting comings and goings from the General Aviation (GA) Apron at Rockhampton Airport over the last week...

On Friday 28 April Eclipse EA500 bizjet N465DG departed Rockhampton Airport for Armidale and then Tamworth in New South Wales.

The smart little bizjet - which I believe is based in New South Wales - arrived into Rocky from Tamworth via Armidale last Thursday 20 April.

As mentioned below, N465DG was joined on the GA Apron on Wednesday 26 April as Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-PWX visited from Brisbane.

Also arriving on Wednesday 26 April was the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ.  After overnighting, it departed back to Brisbane on Thursday 27 April.

Also on Thursday 27 April, Vectra Holdings (New South Wales) New Piper PA-28-181 VH-BHK arrived from Archerfield. It later departed to Mackay.  Then on Friday 28 April, VH-BHK departed Mackay for Emerald Airport before returning to Archerfield.

After arriving at Rockhampton Airport on Tuesday 25 April, New South Wales-based Cessna 210 VH-ZID completed local survey flights around Rocky and Capricorn Coast on Wednesday 26 April and again on Thursday 27 April before continuing to Mackay Airport.  It looked to complete an aerial survey flight around Mackay on Friday 28 April before it then continued to Townsville.

UPDATE!  VH-ZID was noted heading back South from Townsville on Saturday 29 April, calling into Mackay and Rockhampton Airports before finishing the day at Bundaberg Airport.

Other aerial survey aircraft spotted at Rockhampton Airport included  Bayswater Road / Australian Aerial Mapping (AAM) Reims F406 VH-EYQ.  Sadly its exact movements are not known.

And Australasian Jet (AusJet) Cessna 206 VH-KPG is back at Rockhampton Airport completing aerial survey flights around the local area after being spotted also at Rocky in the middle of March.

VH-KPG has been busy with it also noted completing flights out of Mackay and Clermont Airports in recent weeks.

Finally, Biloela-registered Bell Helicopter Textron 206B VH-SIJ was spotted at Rockhampton Airport recently.

While registered locally, the Jetranger is reportedly operated by Rotorwing Helicopters at Mount Martha in Victoria.  It has also recently spent time operating for Machjet / McDermott Aviation.
