Exercise Wallaby 2019 - Final RSAF Helicopter Flights This Week - Pack up Starts - Heavy Jet Passenger Charters & Antonov 124 Due Over the Next Week!

Sadly, the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2019 has come to an end, and on Tuesday 5 November, most of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) helicopters deployed to Rockhampton Airport were photographed below with their rotor blades removed and in the process of being prepared for uplift back to Singapore.

It appears (as posted below) that the deployed RSAF helicopters looked to complete their final flights last Friday 1 November.

It is expected that on Wednesday 6 November (tomorrow), the four RSAF Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopters that were deployed to Rockhampton Airport for the Exercise will depart Rockhampton Airport and heading back to their base at Oakey.

While over the weekend and into the early part of next week, Volga-Dnepr Airlines Antonov AN-124-100 RA-82044 should return to Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and transport the four RSAF Boeing AH-64D Apache and four RSAF Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma helicopters back to Singapore over two trips.

UPDATE!  It appears the Antonov will arrive into Rockhampton Airport on Sunday 10 November and again on Tuesday 12 November.

Finally, as posted below, late last night on Monday 4 November, the third and final 'wave' of heavy jet charter flights into Rockhampton Airport in support of Exercise Wallaby 2019 started with Air New Zealand Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner ZK-NZI calling in.  As this post is being written, ZK-NZI has returned to Rockhampton Airport and will depart back to Singapore shortly.  It will be joined by Royal Brunei Airlines Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner V8-DLD which is also heading to Rockhampton Airport.  This will be the final passenger charter flight for 2019.
