Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 Missed Approach at Rockhampton Airport on Saturday!

Certainly a nice surprise weekend visit on Saturday 18 January by Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus A330-200 / KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A39-002 which was noted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.

After flying from RAAF Base Amberley to Darwin via Alice Springs the previous day, on Saturday, the KC-30A departed Darwin and flew to Townsville where it landed for a short time.  A39-002 then returned to Amberley via the missed approach at Rocky.

A39-002 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Dragon 17".
