QantasLink Dash-8-200 Makes Emergency Landing at Moranbah Airport - UPDATED!
QantasLink Dash-8-200 VH-SDE has made a priority landing at Moranbah Airport on Thursday 9 February. The Dash-8 reportedly made the landing early this afternoon around 12.30pm, after the flight crew noticed smoke coming from the cabin.
A Qantas spokesperson said the QF2588 flight was operating a "positioning flight" from Brisbane to Moranbah. The flight wasn't carrying any passengers, and was being used to relocate the aicraft.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has been informed of the incident and is waiting on more information and details about whether they need to investigate.
Queensland Fire and Rescue crews did not find any evidence of a fire.
