We mentioned in a Blog Post below of Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YIO operating its first ever revenue service for the airline on a Brisbane to Mackay Airport service on Saturday 18 August. However, there have been a couple of other 'first time visitors' of some recently delivered Virgin Australia aircraft.
On Friday 24 August, B737-800 VH-YIJ visited Mackay Airport for the first time, arriving from and departing back to Brisbane. Later, B737-800 VH-YIM also arrived for the first time ever into Mackay from Brisbane as VOZ621, and the aircraft remained overnight.
VH-YIJ was also noted in Central Queensland on Saturday 25 August, this time at Rockhampton Airport.
Later on Saturday 25 August, Virgin Australia (Skywest Airlines) ATR 72-600 VH-FVP made its second visit in less than a week while undertaking some training flights in this recently delivered aircraft. VH-FVP arrived from Brisbane and later departed to the Sunshine Coast. As noted below, VH-FVP made its first visit to Rockhampton on Monday 20 August.
