A Busy Couple of Days in Paradise - Hamilton Island Airport

As we noted in the Gladstone Airport Spotting Blog Post (below), there were several light general aviation aircraft that ventured to Hamilton Island Airport on Friday 7 September.  They arrived, presumably, for some sort of fly-in event.  I am aware of as many as nine arrivals into Hamilton Island on Friday.  These included the four aircraft that passed through Gladstone and then Mackay Airports earlier in the day:

Voyager Aviation Cessna 182 VH-NDP

And another Cessna 182 VH-TRE

As well as The Redcliffe Aero Club's Cessna 172 VH-RAQ, which was also noted passing through Gladstone on its way to Hamilton Island.

Also noted arriving into Hamilton Island on Friday 7 September were:  Capricorn Aircraft / Rockhampton Aero Club Partenavia P.68C VH-XLI, Brisbane Flying Group Cessna 172 VH-WPI, Casey Medical Mooney M20R VH-OKC, Wolff Aviation Raython G36 VH-JKZ, and SOCATA TB-20 Trinidad VH-IPF.

Meanwhile, on the bizjet scene at Hamilton Island on Friday 7 September, Brenzil Dassault Falcon 2000EX VH-CRW departed for Brisbane.

And lastly, Skypac Aviation Cessna 550 Citation II bizjet VH-FYP departed Hamilton Island for Cessnock on Thursday 6 September.  It had arrived earlier in the week on Monday 3 September from Maitland.
