Jetstar Airbus A320 VH-VQR in Olympic Colours Visits Mackay Airport Recently

Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 VH-VQR has recently had titles for the New Zealand Olympic Team added to its fuselage.  The "Welcome Home New Zealand Olympic Team" titles adorn both sides of VH-VQR which, until recently, had operated extensively for Jetstar in New Zealand.

However, VH-VQR has recently been noted flying up and down the Australian East Coast, and over the last week or so, has been noted flying into Hamilton Island and Mackay Airports.

VH-VQR was first noted at Hamilton Island Airport last Thursday 30 August, operated from and back to Sydney.  Then on Friday 31 August, VH-VQR operated the evening JST890/891 Brisbane-Mackay-Brisbane service.  VH-VQR again flew this route on Sunday 2 September.
