I discovered this morning too that along with Gladstone, there were also multiple Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights into Biloela / Thangool Airport on Sunday 5 January.

Information suggests that a mix of Alliance Airlines Fokker 50 turbo-prop aircraft - VH-FKV and VH-FKY - along with Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-300 aircraft VH-QQM and VH-QQP operated several return flights from Brisbane over the course of the day and into the night
