Virgin Australia re-Registered B737-800s VH-VOY (ex ZK-PBD) & VH-VUH (ex ZK-PBI) at CQ Airports Thursday

A great day for plane spotters - and in particular 'rego' spotters on Thursday 5 March - with a pair of recently re-registered Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800s calling into both Mackay and Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airports.

VH-VOY - which was ZK-PBD - was noted operating into Mackay from and back to Brisbane as VOZ603/608, and then later into Proserpine from and back to Brisbane as VOZ1117/1116.

VH-VUH - which was ZK-PBI - and only 're-entered' service with Virgin in Australia on Wednesday - also called into Mackay Airport later on Thursday but as VOZ613/614.

The visit of these two aircraft that until recently operated in New Zealand. means that four out of the six aircraft currently flying back in Australia have visited Central Queensland.  One more aircraft, VH-VUD (ex ZK-PBG) is due to re-enter service the coming days leaving just three aircraft left in service on trans-tasman routes - ZK-PBF, ZK-PBK and ZK-PBL.
