On Thursday 11 August, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 was spotted completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport. It had flown up from RAAF Base Amberley and was noted using the radio callsign of "Stallion 53".
From Rocky, the giant RAAF transport aircraft was then noted completing airwork around Emerald and Taroom Airports before returning to Amberley.
Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Kayanne H who was at the right place at the right time and kindly shares these great photos of the Globemaster!
