Stirling Helicopters Looks to Take Delivery of PNG-Registered Bell 206L-3 Long Ranger P2-PBB at Rockhampton Airport

On Monday 15 May, Papua New Guinea (PNG) registered Bell 206L-3 Long Ranger helicopter P2-PBB was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Mackay.

The very nicely presented Long Ranger had flown South via Cooktown, Cairns and Townsville on Sunday 12 May.

Shortly before this post was written, locally-based Stirling Helicopters has reported on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/StirlingHelicopters/) that they have in fact taken delivery of 1990-build helicopter which looks to have been operating privately in PNG since July 2015.

After being noted parked outside the Stirling Helicopters hangar on the General Aviation (GA) side of Rockhampton Airport and taking on fuel, P2-PBB was heard to depart to Bundaberg.

UPDATE!  In July, P2-PBB was re-registered as VH-JMM with Stirling Helicopters.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotters Trevor and Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos of a great arrival into CQ!
