Hevilift Australia ATR 72-500 VH-FVH Pops into Roma Airport on FIFO Charter Flight

On Monday 7 January, Hevilift Australia (Fixed Wing Division) ATR 72-500 VH-FVH looked to call into Roma Airport, presumably completing a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight from and back to Brisbane as HT741/742.  It is the ATR's first visit to Roma Airport since it entered service with the airline last week.

FIFO charter flights into Roma Airport operated by Hevilift seem to be monthly occurrences with one visit around the same time each month since September.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 7 January, fellow Hevilift ATR 72-500 VH-FVM completed one of its regular FIFO charter flights into Moranbah Airport also from and back to Brisbane but as HT723/724.

FIFO charter flights to Moranbah and Middlemount Airports continue each week - see Blog post below.

Hevilift's ATR 42-300 VH-YWH remains on the ground at Brisbane Airport with FIFO charter flights from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast to Biloela / Thangool Airport seemingly placed on hold.

UPDATE!  On Friday 11 January, VH-YWH returned to the air, operating a closed FIFO charter flight into Moranbah Airport from and back to Brisbane as HT421/422.
