Before dawn on Saturday 8 January, LifeFlight (Aeromed) LearJet 45 bizjet VH-VVI "Ambulance 451" was noted arriving into Mackay Airport from Townsville.
After a short time on the ground, it departed Mackay Airport and returned to Townsville.
