Thursday 13 January, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-213 was spotted and noted completing airwork, including missed approaches at a couple of Central Queensland Airports.
A41-213 was flying as "Stallion 23" and looked to depart RAAF Base Amberley and head North-West towards Roma where it descending and then headed up towards Emerald at low level. The Globemaster was then videoed (below) completing a missed approach at Emerald Airport.
It then flew across to Bundaberg Airport where it completed a spectacular touch-and-go approach. Local plane spotter Peter S was on hand to catch the action.
After completing the airwork, A41-213 "Stallion 23" returned to Amberley but via one more missed approach at the Sunshine Coast.
Sincere thanks to Bundaberg plane spotter Peter S for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
