Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-209 "Stallion 65" Spotted Completing Airwork at CQ Airports

On Thursday 5 May, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-209 was spotted completing airwork including a missed approach and low overshoot at Rockhampton Airport. It was heard to be flying as "Stallion 65".

It appears that the Globemaster earlier departed from RAAF Base Amberley and flew directly up to Rockhampton.  From there, it overflew Gladstone and the completed another missed approach at Bundaberg Airport before it then returned to Amberley.

Then as night fell, A41-209 - now as "Stallion 67" - flew back up to Rockhampton Airport from Amberley for another missed approach before then returning once again to Amberley.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
