Prime Getaways LLC (USA) Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP Gulfstream G550 Bizjet N552X Pops into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 4 November, Prime Getaways LLC (USA) Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP Gulfstream G550 bizjet N552X was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport from Cairns.  It had earlier arrived into the country from Papeete, French Polynesia.


N552X was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Twilight 52" and is pictured above arriving back int Cairns from Hamo.

UPDATE!  On Monday 14 November, N552X Twilight 52" finally departed Cairns and returned to Hamilton Island Airport before returning to Cairns and then heading overseas.

While also on Hamo, also on Friday 4 November,  Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 bizjet VH-LXZ departed back to Cessnock and Bankstown.  It had arrived on Tuesday 1 November from those places and Roma Airport.

And Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 jet VH-XWM arrived into Hamilton Island Airport from Cairns as UTY551.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 6 November, VH-XWM returned to Cairns from Hamo as UTY552.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the region, also on Friday 4 November, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ flew into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns before departing to Townsville. It then returned to Rockhampton Airport from Townsville before returning back to Cairns.

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville before it then departed to Brisbane.  It later returned to Rockhampton Airport before then returning to Townsville and Cairns.

After some months out of the air, it seems that VH-PSK returned to flying at the end of last month.

While Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) / Qantas Group Pilot Academy Diamond DA-40 Star training aircraft VH-YTR was noted visiting Maryborough Airport from its Toowoomba-Wellcamp base.

Auscott P/L Beechcraft B200GT King Air VH-NMW visited Bundaberg Airport from Toowoomba.

And Seair Pacific / Istlecote Textron Aviation (Cessna) 208B Caravan VH-TLH was noted arriving into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Lady Elliot Island.

Finally, also on Friday 4 November, UTS Geophysics / Aviation Utilities Eurocopter AS 350 B3 Squirrel helicopter VH-VOW was noted flying around the Monto area.


It was photographed (above) at Rockhampton Airport on Thursday 3 November shortly before departing.  It had arrived last Friday 28 October from Alice Springs via Charleville and Roma Airports.
