Radio calls suggested the Herc was to then fly at very low level South towards Springsure and further places to the South and East.
A97-465 eventually came back up on radar near Gayndah some time later and then proceeded to fly onwards to RAAF Base Amberley.
Of interest, A97-465 was using the radio callsign of "Trojan 43" and had been flying overseas around New Zealand in the days prior to landing at Townsville as "Ausy 838".
