Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023 - RAAF Alenia C-27J Spartan A34-005 "Valour 02" at CQ Airports - Plus Three Australian Army CH-47F Chinook Helicopters Pop into Emerald Airport Heading back to Townsville

On Friday 4 August, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Alenia C-27J Spartan Transport Aircraft A34-005 as "Valour 02" was yet again spotted and noted completing airwork and visiting a couple of Central Queensland Airports, no doubt in support of the final day of the joint Military Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023 (TS23).

The Spartan flew up from RAAF Base Amberley and was spotted completing airwork at Gladstone Airport, including completing several touch-and-go landings.

It then flew down to Bundaberg Airport where it was again spotted soon after arriving.

A34-005 "Valour 02" then departed Bundaberg Airport and returned to Amberley.

Meanwhile, also Friday 4 August, three Australian Army Boeing CH-47F 'Foxtrot' Chinook helicopters were noted passing through Emerald Airport while flying home to Townsville from the Oakey Army Aviation Centre.

It is believed they were the same three that flew South at the start of the Exercise - A15-302, A15-310 and A15-312 - and they were again heard to fly together as "Patriot".
