CQ Plane Spotting Historic Spot - Rockhampton Airport circa 1974

Rockhampton aviation enthusiast and plane spotter Travis W has sent us some photos he recently discovered while cleaning-up in the form of some wonderful old images of Rockhampton Airport from what he believes to be around 1974.

There are great photos of the old terminal and air traffic control (ATC) tower.

The photos also show Ansett Airlines of Australia Boeing 727-77(QC) VH-RMT parked at its gate.

The photos also show several old hangars and some light aircraft on the General Aviation (GA) apron.

Certainly some wonderful old photos and we sincerely thank Travis for taking the time to scan and send them through.
