Dassault Falcon 2000LX Bizjet VH-WIO Back at Hamilton Island Airport

On Tuesday 2 February, Balmoral Air Dassault Falcon 2000LX bizjet VH-WIO touched down at Hamilton Island Airport from Bankstown where Sydney plane spotter Bernie P captured a great image of it taxiing prior to departure.

It is the first visit of the Oatley family bizjet since the untimely passing of Hamilton Island's owner, and well-known vineyard owner, Bob Oatley.  VH-WIO departed back to Bankstown on Wednesday 3 February.

Meanwhile, a corporate turboprop in the form of Brisbane-based Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-JMU was noted visiting Hamo last Friday 29 January.  It appears that VH-JMU was operating a series of flights from Bankstown to Far North Queensland.  On Friday, VH-JMU called into Hamilton Island from Hicks Island and departed to Lake Macquarie and Bankstown.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 30 January, VH-JMU returned to Redcliffe.

Of interest, this particular aircraft in the second PC-12 to wear the registration VH-JMU.  This particular aircraft has C/N 1045 and was previously registered VH-VTF.  It was re-registered VH-JMU in early January 2016.
